Spiritual Leadership & Worship
- Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity and conviction.
- Perform sacraments such as Communion and Baptism.
- Officiate weddings, funerals, and other religious ceremonies as needed.
- Dedicate time to prayer, sermon preparation, and spiritual study.
Pastoral Care & Counseling
- Provide spiritual guidance and counseling, including premarital and salvation-related counseling.
- Visit and support hospitalized, grieving, or homebound members.
- Oversee church discipline, mediate conflict resolution, and foster unity within the congregation.
Church Growth & Ministry Development
- Develop strategic plans to grow the church and enhance the ministry.
- Equip and nurture the congregation through teaching, discipleship, and example.
- Demonstrate ability to engage effectively with congregation members of all ages, including children, adults, and seniors.
- Lead and participate in evangelism and outreach ministry.
Leadership & Administration
- Oversee church ministries, offering guidance, support, and training.
- Collaborate with joint board which consists of Deacons and Trustees ministry.
- Foster a culture of service, discipleship, and community involvement.
Community Engagement & Cultural Awareness
- Build relationships within the local community to promote the church’s mission and presence.
- Stay informed on theological, social, and cultural issues to provide relevant and timely guidance to the congregation
Pastor Qualifications & Skills:
- Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree
- At least 5 years of experience in pastoral ministry or church leadership
- Effective preaching and teaching skills for diverse audiences
- Strong commitment to Baptist beliefs and a clear sense of pastoral calling.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and pastoral care
- Ordination or certification by a recognized religious denomination
- Demonstrates strong leadership and teamwork in church or ministry settings.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, when needed
- Working knowledge of social media tools and general computer technology
